Transforming stent technology by DESIGN
Unlike other drug-eluting stents, those developed with RES Technology will not need to be surface coated. Rather, each stent has hundreds of small holes (reservoirs) in the stent struts, loaded with a bioresorbable drug-polymer matrix. Over time, the drug-polymer matrix is resorbed with no polymer left behind.
Explore the Technology and Design that makes our stent Transformational
- 1. Controlled drug elution
- Each stent incorporates hundreds of small holes acting as reservoirs into which a drug-polymer composition is loaded.
- 2. Independent multiple-drug release
- Reservoirs can be designed to independently release single or multiple pharmacological agents with different release profiles.
- 3. Fully bioresorbable polymer
- With RES Technology, the drug resides within a bioresorbable polymer matrix that completely resorbs, leaving no polymer behind.
- 4. Ductile hinge technology
- Ductile hinge technology is designed to localize expansion strains, protecting drug reservoirs over a wide expansion range.
- 5. Bare metal stent deliverability
- Lacking an external drug-polymer coating, stents with RES Technology can maintain deliverability characteristics similar to bare metal stents.
